Can I add new studies to an existing Delfa AI agent?
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Context
You may have an existing Delfa AI agent set up for a particular study or set of studies, and want to expand it to cover additional studies — for example, adding new COPD protocols to an existing COPD agent, or adding new vaccine studies to an existing vaccine agent. This article explains how to request that additional studies be added to an existing agent.
Answer
Yes, Delfa supports adding new studies to an existing multi-study agent. To do so, reach out to the Delfa team with the following information for each new study you'd like to add:
Phone screener(s) for each new study. These are used to build or update the eligibility criteria and agent script.
OR
Study protocol(s) (if available), which help the team review and refine the screener questions.
Any special instructions, such as additional preference questions (e.g., treatment options, visit duration, time commitments) if patients may qualify for more than one study simultaneously.
Once the Delfa team receives the materials, they will:
Review the screeners and protocols.
Update the agent's eligibility criteria and script to incorporate the new study or studies.
Provide a test phone number so you can verify the updated agent before it goes live.
Confirm once the changes are in place.
If you do not yet have a phone screener for a particular study, you can still notify the Delfa team in advance. They can prepare a template agent so it is ready to launch quickly once the screener becomes available.
If you need new leads from specific landing pages or ads to start outreach automatically (rather than relying on manual list imports), a lead recruiter can set this up in Lead Sources: create or edit the lead source and choose the Cadence that new leads enter. See "Webforms and Lead Sources Process". You can also ask the Delfa team to set it up as part of the change.
